I forgot about this one. Good song that helps me recall events when I was 3. I can't say I remember earlier than that, but this song brings up memories from childhood playing with a friend in a playground of an apartment complex. This is a good thread. Thanks Fatty
"Go Rest High on that Mountain"? The two songs that I thought about with this thread were "Don't Take the Girl" by Tim McGraw and more recently "Three Wooden Crosses" by Randy Travis.

You've read my mind. I can't listen to that song without tears coming to my eyes. There's also this Christmas song about a boy's mother being sick and he buys shoes for her before she dies.
"And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" - Eric Bogle (lots of covers as well) "No Need to Argue" - The Cranberries Well, it used to, but I got over that w****. "A Sort of Homecoming" - U2
she is an incredible Songstresss. . . totally underrated Lone Star - I'm Already There . . . reminds me of my son Cat's in the Cradle too . .. Dance With My Father - Luther Vandross - reminds me of my GrandFather Rocket River

Songs usually don't make me cry with their subject matter unless it pertains to a situation that I was involved in at the time I heard the song. Konstantine by Something Corporate was such a moving song for me, made me cry like a whiny emo kid when I thought about my situation. as shannon mentioned, when I first heard "Hard to Concentrate" By RHCP it really made me tear up and I told her to listen to it and she felt the same way. Bittersweet Symphony is another song that in the right context can be very emotional, as well as Novermber Rain.
