Yeah, this is mostly a men's board. But I think this should be an interesting thread. We all know that we have that ONE song that makes us tear up when we're alone. This is a thread about which song jerks it out of you.

Mine is Conway Twitty's "That's my Job." Regardless of whether I'm thinking about my son or my dad, the song just breaks me up.

    Anyway, what are y'alls?

I never cry when I hear a song except at funerals, especially if they have an actual person singing and not a recording.

yea man, those are definite tear jerkers. i've always liked Glory Glory Hallelujah, but when the one dude sang it at my friend's funeral...I bawled throughout the whole thing. it was a good ten minutes. but i guess that's pretty much a given at a funeral.

For some reason "This Old Porch" by Lyle Lovett always chokes me up.

    But I'm a softie.

But have you heard "That's my Job?" For whatever reason, it kills me on both ends.

Conway Twitty doesn't get a whole lot of airplay in my circle, so I can't say that I've heard that particular song.

Do me a favor and download it. Heartstring-wise, one of the best ever. Trust me. (especially if you've ever had Father/Son issues.)

    Johnny Cash - Hurt

WWE used it as a tribute song to Eddie Guerrero when he passed away. Sad moment.

When Tessa Noël dies on Highlander :(

I can't listen to any of the songs on Fiona Apple's Tidal or Jewel's Pieces Of You, without thinking about the girl that got away.
