i know chappelle show was on for only 2 years but that trumps any show that they've done EVER! the daily show is very good as is south park and reno 911. comedy central really has some of the best comedy sitcoms on tv, hence the name of course, but it surprises me how other networks have passed on some this stuff.

Best thing I have ever seen on Comedy Channel was "Richard Pryor Live Unedited". They played it at 1am one Friday night. Haven't seen it since 1980, and it was still as funny and fresh as it was back then.

Some of the Comedy Central Presents comedians are decent, most of the other shows on that channel bore me. The best channel for comedy shows is the BBC. Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, Black Adder, Benny Hill...to name a few.

South Park is the funniest show, bar none.

Not only is it the funniest, it's the most socially relevant. The combination of social commentary, incredible observation, and controversy make it the absolute greatest show on Comedy Central (and most likely on all of TV).

    My list goes:

    1. South Park
    2. Daily Show
    3. Reno 911!

The Daily Show gives me a lot of the social commentary that I value so much from South Park, but I give the edge to South Park for the creative way in which it's presented.

The Daily Show? Shows news, makes commentary on it. Funny as hell, simple, effective. But doesn't take that much work.

South Park? Creates scenario, often taking it to extreme, and manages to fit in a moral message. Requires great deal of creativity, story-writing, and humor.

You simply can't mess with South Park. I even give it the edge over Family Guy (which is probably my favorite show) because of the message that it gives each week.

Chapelle's Show is good for what it is, but I don't think it touches the three that I listed. It got blown up as something much bigger than it really is, and as a result there are so many people running around who hold Chapelle's Show as the pinnacle of comedy, which I regret to inform you, it is not.

Is it entertaining? Of course. I laugh at it.

    But it's not the best.

    Long live South Park.

If Benny Hill doesn't make you laugh...well....I can't help you.

Fawlty Towers? John Cleese? Not funny? pfft

I guess all you young kids get off on the potty humor of South Park. Thats cool. Boring to me. But then again I am old.

Funniest thing I ever saw on Comedy Central was a show with a name like "Peter Gaulke's Strange Wilderness".

It was basically a parody of National Geographic episodes.

What I would give to find a copy of that these days...

ATHF is a Cartoon Network show, like SGCTC, The Brak Show, and Sea Lab 2021.

I like Saturday Night Live. The funniest thing about that show is that it's on, and it's not even Saturday, Night, or LIVE! AWESOME.
