How did none of the old-timers not mention Logan's Run yet?

It's Rushmore for me. I did not think Boyhood was a good movie.

Vision Quest. THIS was my movie. I was sidelining as a Country Singer back as a wrestler back then.

This is another underrated movie.

 

I don't think the city was mentioned in "Rushmore" but will have to watch it again. When I saw it the first time I was on a date and I remember telling my date "I think that's Houston and I think that's my high school." I also recognized some of the shots in West U and also the METRO buses.

 

Didn't know Logan's Run was shot in Houston.
Apparently it also predicted the great freeze out of 2021.

 

How about "My Best Friend Is A Vampire" lol

 

The Water Gardens used in that movie are in Downtown Fort Worth.

They shot some scenes at the Space Center.

 

I seem to remember a movie that was shot in houston about after a nuclear war with them in a 8 wheeled vehicle.

Kingwood Country Club. My in-laws were extras. You can see them waiving their hands in the tent after Costner wins the tournament.

Surprised at the Reality Bites hate. Not the greatest movie, but not that bad. Good soundtrack at least. Maybe I'm biased because it was about Gen X hipsters in their 20's living in Houston....and it came out when I was a Gen X hipster in my 20's living in Houston.

 

I'm watching Rushmore right this minute, in honor of all you Houstonians.
