I know I liked his posts in this thread because he didn't take himself too seriously and they were quite funny. He didn't resort to personal attacks and he didn't take an argument about freaking martial arts personally...lighten up...

^it's now self-aggrandizing to visit Sao Paulo?

If so, then guilty as charged!

Treacherous Incident in the Streets of Sao Paulo

One night, after a dalliance with a tempting femme dancing the most seductive samba, I could not obtain a taxi-cab, and decided to proceed home on foot. Walking down the ramshackle moonlit alleyways of the favela, a sense of unease fell upon me. This sense was validated, when I was soon assailed by three of the meanest street toughs this side of Rio. I could see the lust for the white lady in their gleaming eyes, these were hard men, beasts even, in pursuit of the kind of high that I could not offer them. Knowing that words would not work, I resolved myself to the hard reality of vale tudo melee combat, right there on the streets of Sao Paulo.

Not wishing to deploy my crotch-crackling fists and knees well-schooled in the deadly Israeli art of Krav Maga, owing to a stubbed toe, I reached down into my satchel. Not finding my trusty Nepalese Gurkha knife, I grabbed instead the J.Peterman ® URBAN GABOON VIPER, and tossed the hissing serpent at my assailants. The white powder lust in their eyes turned to crazed fear in an instant, upon seeing the glint of its needle sharp fangs in the flickering ether, and the cariocas scattered back to their dens of iniquity. These days I don’t leave home without it

If this is what passes for wit and humor, I find I must be either out of touch of what funny is or have just outgrown that kind of humor. Personally, I think the remarks are idiotic.

Regardless, Most of the guys I enjoyed reading from this forum are not even here anymore. If this is what's left of the forums, then I say see ya'll later.

Have fun with your well traveled messiah.

I didn't even know this was a "LOSER LEAVES TOWN" match...?

If this is any indication of how you'll handle yourself in combat, I don't know if you have the temperament for Krav Maga - perhaps downgrade to Foxy Boxing....or Stomp the Yard style dance-offs?

I'm not one to agree with Sam, typically, but FT, you kinda brought it on, although Sammy had to chide, as usual.

Quite frankly, if you carry a gun, a knife, and mace with you at all times with your family, the likelihood is far greater that someone will be harmed in your household with those weapons than the defense it may provide.

If, on the other hand, you choose to learn an art to be able to defend your family without needing to carry/house all of the weapons, more power to you.

As for my self-defense strategy? I just look like a dick/a**hole.

Yeah the actual stat you are quoting is "family member or friend"

like if your uncle or cousin is on crack and breaks into your place to steal your stuff. If you shoot him then the gun killed your family.

Or a womans "friend" comes over to rape here and she kills him then that gun killed her friend.

Why is it that they always look to the spouse when someone is murdered? Because they hate each other.Same thing for suicide.

frankly people kill their family and friends intentionally more than people they don't know. Otherwise there is no motive.

Its not that the gun is more likely to kill them by accident or by someone taking it from you or whatever.

OR the child finds it and wants to play with it.

OR you pull out your GAT because you hear something in the middle of the night and Go TJ Hooker all over the place until you realize one of your children was sneaking back in, etc.
