Philly Cheese steak, but not the way it's apparently made in Philly as I hear they use Cheez Wiz. This is a sandwich that seems impossible to mess up even in any crappy food court or at the Moody Towers cafeteria.
In Pittsburgh for the month. I'm really starting to get used to the whole 'let's put a handful of french fries and a scoop of cole slaw' on every sandwich; i.e. Primanti Bro's style. Not something I'd eat every day but it's delicious. Another favorite of mine is getting a Torta with Cochinitas Pibil, avocado and, picked red onion and queso fresco at mexican sandwich places.
I think this is a misconception. Most people I know go with provolone or white american. I'm personally not a big Wiz fan. Has anyone ever had a BLT made with slab bacon/pork belly (like this one)? Completely changes the sandwich, in a good way.

I had a Wicked Philly from Pappa Geno's on Saturday, and while Banh Mi is still my favorite, that is way up there. Just a great sandwich. (Fries with gravy were disappointing, though.)
I made Chicken Tikka Sandwiches Saturday night and put fresh guacamole and chipotle mayo with salad greens and cheese.
Isn't that the same thing as Gyros? Sticking with the Middle Eastern theme every now and then I get a craving for a falafel sandwich.
