    A while back, I was wondering about the pronunciation too. So I youtube it, see that it's 'yeer-o.' That night, I go to a mediterranean joint and order a "yeer-o." The guy behind the counter proceed to yell to the cook, "Hey - one JI-RO."

    I was confused.
