im a loyalist of the franchise so i gota go with Stevie/Cuttino.. every1 is a P.O.T.M. u all forget that Francis was best PG in the league status and we had basically the best backcourt in the game.. i love Kev-Mart but this backcourt probably isnt considered in the top 3 backcourts today
    I rockin with Francis/Cat

Best in terms of what? Winning, then Tmac/Sura had the probably the best win/lose percentage. Production, Steve/Cat by a mile. It's too early to put Brooks/Kmart in the mix right now. They have huge potential to be one of the best back court duos in the league, but let's just be patient.

only if you just put the focus on scoring and shooting.

defensively brooks and martin are the worst.

in terms of playmaking brooks and martin are the worst, too.

in terms of all around play brooks and martin aren't that great either.

overall it's just not as clear as many people think it is. i'm undecided on what backcourt was the best. if we were talking about t-mac and sura in their primes, though, it would have been no contest.

I think tmac/brooks or tmac/lowry would be the best....

tmac before micro-fracture surgery and brooks this year would make the best combo

The thread title was... "best rockets backcourt of the millenium". Not "who was the best alien/Billy Hoyle impersonator duo of the last century?".

...all joking aside. some people are some real t-mac haters on here. I am huge on the "potential" that brooks and martin have but, to me its not even close. tmac was a bad dude when he played with sura and with rafer.

How in Godsname could you possibly put Martin/Brooks -.-

I understand they are good, but they've hardly played any games together to be considered better than the other options.

Martin/Brooks havent had enough time, sure they are leading because its relevant now.

But honestly, SF3 and Cat worked well with eachother and were fun to watch, if we base it on wins and sucess you have to go with T-mac and Sura, because t-mac was at his peak then...

Obviously, Sura is my main man, that was a fierce backcourt with him and Tmac. Eventually Martin and Brooks could take top honors, but they've only played together a handful of times. I've got to go with Francis-Mobley, they truly had their own era that served as the bridge between Hakeem and Yao/TMac.

Tmac and Sura hands down...Tmac was in his prime and could actually play a lick of D where Sura was a hard nosed role player. He could score, rebound, and pass and complimented our offense very well. Too bad he was pretty much our only good role player during those days...

    Tmac Sura by a mile.

Just try messing with any of our players and Sura would pile drive you then get in your face about it. Tmac was still killing it back in the day. That backcourt would rape any other one this decade.

It should be Brook/Lowry/Martin because Lowry is going to get at least 20 mins a game or at least he should. That would be a pretty good combo.

I voted for Stevie and Cat.

But clearly a healty T-Mac was unstoppable. Too bad he was only healthy that first year.

its funny that people actually voted for brooks/martin........so our best backcourt of the millenium consists of a backcourt that has played together for like 8 games, having a losing record.

I mean, I am quite excited to see what a brooks/martin backcourt can do with yao back, but come on , they are not the best backcourt in the las millenium.

For me it's a cross betwen Cat/Steve and Sura/Tmac. Both of those duos were damn exciting to watch.
