For you Paul Rogers fans. Before he was in Bad Company he was in a band called "Free". Just an amazing voice! I'll also throw out there... David Bowie Janice Joplin Steve Winwood Peter Gabriel
Yup. Axl Rose has a great rock voice. Unless you've heard anything but the few radio songs here and there -- don't ASSume.
I don't know...Most people think "rock" as a guy with long hair screaming into a microphone. Most people think of Elvis as Blues or R&B. Dave Matthews hasn't been mentioned, either...I guess he's considered more of a pop artist, though pop really is just short for "popular" and doesn't really refer to a certain musical style...and I'm rambling again...
I'm thinking of the classic larger than life big rock voices (several have already been mentioned): Ian Astbury, Perry Ferrell, Glenn Danzig (Misfits), Chris Cornell, Kurt Cobain and of course the greatest vocalist of all time Scott Stapp.
Incubus' Brandon Boyd Coldplay's Chris Martin Tool's Maynard James Keenan Fuel's Bret Scallions LP's Chester Bennington
Stephen Marriott from the Small Faces. He voice was still great in Humble Pie, but I hated that band.
Does anybody think the guy from Dashboard Confessional, Christopher Carrabba is a whiny little b****? Girls seem to love him. I just don't get it.
