Oh wow, they share ONE SIMILAR BURGER!!! IT'S OBVIOUSLY THE SAME !!!!!! LOOK THE LOGOS ARE BOTH STARS!!! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you even read the menus or just look at them? I don't even know why I care, I haven't been to a Carl's Jr. in 15 years and have had Hardee's about 5 times in the past 15 years, but for some reason it bugs me when you're so blatantly wrong. Yes, they share similar items, but they have multiple unique items.
Braum's? Really? Man, I HATED Braum's burgers. But seeing as people are mentioning non-fast food burgers... NORTH TEXAS - Head over to R.J.'s on Prairie in Denton. Seriously. It's right near the giant CORN-KITS place near the Square. Hot DAMN, that's one good burger. HOUSTON - Lankford Grocery. Let Texas Burger Guy speak for me.
Lankfords blows Christians away. I got food poisioning from the Christian's on Washington so I don't eat there any longer.
I"M SO ANGRY AT YOU TOO!!! THIS BURGER DEBATE REALLY HAS MY BLOOD BOILING!! did you even read the menus or go to the (identical) websites? did you read the part how they are phasing in the same menu items? did you realize it is the same parent company that owns both chains? did you know they consider themselves sibling restaurants? can you name another pair of chain restaurants that are as similar? seriously, relax on the burger hatred. its essentially the same fast food restaurant. they both make me want to puke the next day.
I get the fact that they have similar marketing, are owned by the same company, and have similar looking websites. That's not the claim you made. Your own damn argument goes against what you're trying to argue...you're talking about how they are PHASING IN similar menu items. There'd have to be significant differences in the two for this to occur, no?
My understanding is that the Hardees brand is still in play in the East, wheras the West Coast and Oklahoma locations are known as Carl's Jr. When I was in North Carolina visiting Duke and UNC's b-schools, I noticed several Hardees. Even stopped into one and had me a Famous Star. It was subpar.
dude, settle down. i'm not interested in even making this an argument. I'm not writing a thesis on this. they are VERY SIMILAR and let's leave it at that. they sell the same damn burger at both restaurants and use the same advertising campaign to sell each burger. by "phasing in", they are now making their menu items even more compatible than they already are. the six dollar burger is the thickburger. both restaurants sold the patty melt and used the "flat buns" commercial with the hot teacher. the exact same ad campaign. the exact same burger. same thing with the Paris HIlton ad. they used the same ad for the same burger at each restaurant one's on the west coast and one's on the east coast. you are right and I am blatantly wrong.
You're right. I do hate you now. You'll have to find another couch to sleep on come playoff time. You Bash my burger, I bash your face.
i'm actually interested in hitting up a Fatburger next time I have a burger craving. thanks for the recommendation.
nah, I just prefer meat with flavor and fries that don't taste like little strips of cardboard. veggies are secondary when I want a good burger, and In-N-Out is as overrated as it gets. a girl I dated in LA used to rave about it and made me eat there numerous times. I wanted to really like it, but the food just didn't deliver.
sorry I got so involved here, but the fries at In-N-Out are the healthiest and freshest fries I have ever tasted. its simple- take a clean, fresh potato, cut it into strips, and fry it in cholesterol free vegetable oil. imagine that. the taste of a potato vs. a processed, sodium filled frozen, bagged, mass produced french fry. i prefer no frills. i love looking at a menu at In-N-Out hamburger, cheeseburger, fries, soda, shake- thats America
I think Fatty owns stock in Christian's. My favorite is In-n-Out followed closely by Steak and Shake just for the variety alone.
