    The Great Escape gets my vote, but Victory is also a movie I love.

    I'm glad someone else watched that as a kid! We all repeatedly tried to do the Pele bicycle kick, it's a miracle none of us got hurt doing it.

    boy, I watched Escape from Alcatraz not too long ago, and it was LONG and BORING. and you already know what's going to happen. just didn't work for me.

    Shawshank certainly holds up.

    My favorite would be Papillion. I haven't seen the 2017 remake, the original great thou.
