The weird thing about Whataburger is that I can't stand their burgers. They have damn good grilled chicken and a good fish sandwich, though. I used to love their fajita tacos, but they don't make those any more.

Supermac...you never heard of RUMP roast? Maybe that's the cut of beef that In and Out uses for their ground beef. :)

The title of this thread should be Favorite Burger place because all the choices are burger joints.

    1. Subway
    2. Taco Cabana
    3. Long John Silvers
    4. KFC, original is still the bomb
    5. Popeye's, red beans and rice rule, bring on the lard
    6. Whataburger, closest thing to In n Out

The thing about In n Out that I like is that you eat outside. The one I go to when I visit the in-laws is right up against the San Gabriels, which is a super cool view :) Carl's Jr and Fatty's are two other noteworthy hamburger chains.

Carl's Jr. is a great place to eat whenever you're west of Texas. I also ate at a Fattburger in San Diego and loved it. California burger joints are shockingly as good as Texas. I'm also pretty partial to Sonic...sit in my car, eat, listen to Jim Rome, chat with the wife....good lunch!

Where's Tacobell? If I'm eating fastfood, I'm running for the border!

Jersey Mike's subs in the Village
Frenchy's is the shiznit. mmmm...red beans & rice
    Wendy's burgers are pretty good
Damn I miss the Tamale House on Airport in Austin. Best breakfast tacos in the world.
Ming's on Montrose has pretty good Chinese takeout
But, if it's after 2 & I needs some drunk food, it's all about Taqueria Tapatia.

    My brothah!

I'm sure we've seen each other in there at this time before!

I'm the other drunk guy in the place.

Luke's, to bad it burned it down. There is another one that I don't think a lot of people know about, it is on the South Side of Houston where Hiram Clarke runs out. If you don't live or work over there, there is no reason to travel that far for a burger, even for Luke's.

Yeah, between there & Kay's I'm sure our paths have crossed.

Too bad Tapatia won't serve beer after 2 anymore.

In-n-Out is a luxury to you texas folk, to me it is an every day option. The burgers are indeed top notch, but the fries suck.

Isn't there one by Transco? Or is that the one that burned down?

Nobody has mentioned Sonic? Sonic and summer seem to go hand in hand. A cheeseburger, cheese fries and a cherry limeade? Pretty rokkin...

I could eat Popeye's about every other day though. I plan on takin a 12 pack of chicken with me to the beach on Saturday. Heaven.

The Lukes at South Post Oak and Willowbend became Annie's Hamburgers. They make pretty good burgers and really good breakfasts.

Its really too bad that you Texans dont have In-N'-Out burger. ITs funny to hear guys saying whataburger...:)
In-N-Out is the best fastfood I have ever eaten by far, I eat there at least three times a week. The wait is always at least 25 minutes, but it is well worth the wait!
