<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>When you watch Anthony Davis' ninth "block" you begin to realize how he has 78 more career blocks at home than away.</p>— Tom Haberstroh (@tomhaberstroh) <a href="https://twitter.com/tomhaberstroh/status/527473607757529089">October 29, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Davis probably had 6 or 7 blocks. That's still great, of course, but he got some home cooking on the stat sheet.
Right now at this moment Randolph and Gasol still better than them IMO, but the Brow is only gonna get better. IMO Asik is what it is a good Defensive, good rebounder player nothing more.
Davis, Asik, Anderson last night= 62 points, 43 boards, 4 assists, 14 blocks, 3 steals Harden, Dwight, TJones last night = 61 points, 29 boards, 10 assists, 3 blocks, 3 steals Pelicans combination was obviously better... exclusively on the fact that Davis was a beast... but one game, who cares, way overstatement. Granted, specific to front-courts, INDEED, the Pelicans frontcourt is scary good. Their backcourt, though.. I don't think that's ever going to work. Addition by subtraction would be better for them there
Southwest is ridiculous this year. It's actually possible that we could see the entire Southwest in the play offs this year. That's just wrong...
You forgot Howard-Jones. Their stat line last night: 29 points, 24 rebounds, 3 blocks, 4 assists, and 9 fouls.
Definitely. Now they just need to dump those two chuckers, Holiday and Gordon, and they'd have a hell of a team.
Don't sleep on Rhyno Ryan Anderson I would say a Asik / Davis / Ryno front court rotation is the best and most versatile in the league. Even better than Noah / Pau / Gibson
From ESPN: Anthony Davis is the 1st player with 26 Pts, 17 Reb, 9 Blk and 3 Stl in a game since Hakeem Olajuwon in 1989-90. It's going to be a bloodbath in the West again. A random injury to an important player can derail a good team's playoff hopes. New Orleans beat up on a bad Orlando team last night, which is a positive sign for them, but let's see how the things work out the rest of the season. They had a bad year injury-wise last season. I wonder if this is an issue with just bad luck or guys actually being injury-prone.
The brow and asik have more talent than gasol and randolph, it's pretty clear about that. However, in a 7 games series I still give the edge to randolph and gasol. But I'll readily admit that davis and anybody will be better than gasol and randolph in the near future.
