so rose don't run an offense?

assist are a 2-way stat. is up to the recipient of the pass to complete the play.

rondo dishes to 3 HOF's while rose has Keith Bogans and other poor offensive players while still dishing out 8 assist and putting up 25 ppg.

rondo is a really good role player. rose is a franchise player.

Rose might be a great offensive PG. But fans tend to forget that defense also is important in basketball. That's why I believe Westbrook does not get enough praise. Westbrook is easily one of the top 3 defensive PGs in the league. Last nigh for example he shut down Chris Paul.

    Top PGs

    1. Willams
    2. Paul
    3. Rose
    4. Westbrook
    5. Rondo / Nash

I remember saying Rondo is a better dunker and only durvasa seemed to disagree. I think he gets too much hype because he plays for the Celtics.

That's a good list. If I had to pick one it would be Rose. A healthy Chris Paul is first.

If you asked me a few years ago who will be in the hall of fame McGrady or Allen? I would have responded McGrady.

Also Westbrook might be the best posting up PG in the league. He is simply bigger than the other PGs he goes against. Except for maybe Willimas. But Deron Williams never posts up.

Dude you realize if the other guy you mentioned(CP3) or even Deron Will were on the Celts instead of Rondo that they'd be averaging 14dimes a game, especially if their team didn't count on their scoring for them to win.

DWill and CP3 HAVE to get 15+ppg in addition to 8+apg in order to give both their (Un)allstar lade teams a chance to win. That's why I hated the hype over Rondo's 17 assist games. He doesnt have to score a single point for the Celtics to win. He is a darker, younger and slimmer Jason Kidd.

Put DWill, CP3, maybe even Westbrook or Rose in there instead of Rondo and I bet their assist numbers go up and the Celts record is just as good.

I would still say cp3. Dwill and Rose are right there though. Westbrook is close too, but he needs to get 3p range. Rondo is nowhere close...can't build a franchise on him. He might be the best role player for other all-stars but he can't have a team rely on him to be the go to player.

3? I have a suspicion their current starting centre might make the hall of fame too, just a hunch though.

that being said, if you watched say chicago vs boston, rondo would have gotten 15 assists passing to me, it was just layup central.

Rose is so good, funny how I can name 15 awesome PGs off the top of my head and none of them are on the Rockets

Rose is like Steve with a brain.

Rondo was the best player on a team that came within minutes of winning the title last year. I'm not saying he's the best point guard in the league, but the guy is the best passer and the best defender at the position and he's a hell of a lot more than a role player.

Rose has been fantastic. The shots he is able to make - it is just unreal. As Kobe said, once he understands how much changes after you add a jumper to your game he will be unstopable.

Look out for the Bulls. They only need a legit 2. Gordon would have been great to them.

Yea, but that wasn't the argument

The poster was replying to Tmac_1 saying wall is more athletic than Rose which is highly debatable

IMO tho, Rose is more athletic, because he is a lot more agile, has a lot more body control, and faster

DRose is more athletic in every way except maybe open court speed while dribbling, which Wall owns at

i don't think he was the clear cut best player imo. if he some how won finals mvp it would have been more of like a tony parker style mvp.

Offensively, Rose is special. I don't know about the rest of his game. D.Williams is awesome though. Brooks is better than he is given credit for, especially around this board. He can give teams fits with his speed and shooting. What have you done for me lately?
