i forgot what it's called. It's right next to that four seasons hotel though...

if you're facing the four season's entrance, the garage is on your left hand side (across the street)

If you want to get out to I-45 South after the game, the best place to park is on LaBranch between Pease and Jefferson. The meters are free after 6 and the only turn you have to take is the left onto Jefferson.

If the street is full by the time you get there, the lot on the North side of LaBranch at the Jefferson intersection is $5.

We park in $10 dollar lots next to the $20 lots and it is only a block away from TC. A STEAL!

btw: if you park on the streets during bird season, do not park under a tree. You'll just be adding a car wash the next day to your expense. It's cheaper to find a $5 lot that get over 200 bird sh!ts on your car (that's no exaggeration).

What makes me think the sidekick to Lady_Di's "we" is another poster here.

Actually no, he's not a poster. I was just referring to my boyfriend. :)

we have had so many of these threads and still it's funny everytime.

YOU ARE AN IDIOT IF YOU PAY MORE THAN 5 BUCKS TO PARK AT EITHER THE TOYOTA CENTER OR AT MMP.

    Street parking=free

Worried about your car, than park a few blocks away in a garage, walk and pay 5 bucks.

It may be because I don't go to that part of downtown that often, except for games, but I don't always feel that safe after the games in that part of town.

Are their certain streets to avoid?

EDIT: Also, I'm going for Saturday's game and was going to get there early to go to a sports bar or pub downtown. Any recommendations for walking distance bars/sports bars/pubs for a late afternoon beer or three before the game?

there will be 17,000 people on the street with you. i don't think you have to worry that much.

as for pubs near the stadium...not any good ones. but note that you are only a 5 min walk to the rail on Main and Clay. There is a $5 lot at Clay and San Jacinto (and free street parking, watch out for the birds though), and that is adjacent to a train stop that will take you to the bars in lower downtown...like the 200-600 blocks.

HP covered it, but there are 17,000 people leaving the arena with you. Plus there are cops directing traffic. If you parked pass Main Street, you parked pretty damn far, and that's when it starts getting iffy.

I always park on Clay on the east side of 59. Free and not many people park there for some reason.

Yep, we'll be in Saturday afternoon and chill until game time. I think we're in Section 126. Let me know where you want to meet up.
