The Woodlands has this new market (I can't call it a grocery store, it is way too fancy) called Hubbell & Hudson. In it you can purchase sandwiches, soups, salads, pasteries, etc. that are all made fresh. It is unbelievable. Seriously, if you are up this way, you owe it to yourself to check this place out. They also have their own dry aged prime beef, some of the best looking seafood I have seen, cheese from all over the world, and tons of wine. Everything there is amazing. It is a food snobs paradise. http://www.hubbellandhudson.com/
Almost agree... JM's is good... But Firehouse Subs may be a bit better... or even The Great Outdoors....
I don't really care for sandwich shops because they all taste either greezy good or like deli meats from from the refrigerated section at your local grocery store. I have about 3 Firehouse sub places in my area and they're decent - I'd take them over Quizno's, though. I've eaten at a couple of Jimmy John's and don't really think anything great, either. But I usually just eat at Subway because it's pretty much the cheapest and it's just a dang sandwich, and kind of like pizza, I'm not too picky about them.
i had a firehouse sub for the first time last week and man i gotta tell ya it's awesome!! i've been going to jimmy jonh's and subways before that and they're ok.. but firehouse has got my vote
Eating a Turkey bacon Avacado from Big town Hero as we speak. And I had a White Kit Kat earlier. I guess I'm easily influenced by these food threads.
I live right across the street from the Spec's in midtown but have never gotten a sandwich from there, any suggestions? Anyways... Jimmy Johns for a sub. Potbelly's for a toasted sandwich. Don's (on Bellaire) for vietnamese sandwiches.
And that is why it is so so good. Ummmm. Get the apple, a water, and go for a jog after wards. That sandwich is well worth it.
you should try kenny and ziggys on post oak, they have a roast beef sandwich that is piled with like 3" of roast beef, it costs like $12 or something but it's a huge sandwich
Finally, someone who acknowledges the greatness of Jersey Mike's. Best sandwich shop retail chain out there.
