I would probably spend a little more. but that's just me. $29, plus it has the coax cable protection http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3756923&findingMethod=rr
The squid one I am looking at actually has coax protection too, just not as many. Here's the thing though, I have two wires running from my dish to my DVR and then one wire to my TV. Do I need protection for all of those?
no. just the power. The coax protection is mainly for us cable users if I am correct. you need to get an hd box for the hd programming. the best connection is hdmi, it has sound/video all in one (and its just one cable).
I will do that tonight . it's not complete of course. Eventually I'll be adding a nice receiver and speakers. Right now I'm using the Logitech Z-5500's I used for my PS3 for surround sound which is more than passable for now. I have my laptop docking station hooked up to the Tv and my desktop monitors have been getting very jealous. I have a 24" and a 22" but with the 67" around, there is a new sheriff in town
Dell screwed us. We ordered the TV on the 3rd, they delay the order and it was supposed to ship today, we didn't get an email, phone call or anything but we look online and bam, they canceled the order saying the manufacturer discontinued the model. Now they are trying to get us to buy a 47" Vizio. This one located here: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...etail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=29&sku=A1667007 I am really skeptical about ordering a Vizio after the comments I have seen here but is this a good TV? Good deal? I mean I don't know if I will order it or not just asking but man am I pissed.
Also, what about this TV: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...etail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A1624351
What about the Vizio though? Any good at all? Is this Sony good or just better than the Vizio? Good sale price? Also what is the 120 Hz I am seeing on some TVs that makes it much more expensive? I can't believe Dell.
the 120hz is a premium feature that allows the tv to refresh at twice the speed. most tvs are 60hz. this means smoother films and sports. i say its overrated, but its a nice feature to have. usually most manufacturers have a 'smooth' mode which you can adjust. usually if you crank it up, it makes films look like video, which is wierd (They love to do this in the stores). its good for sports. i buy premium brands dude, as i said before. i don't go for the el cheapo brand, even though Vizio is ok.
Heck no. I believe we'll be ordering this one even though it is a little more than we wanted to spend. Thanks again tinman.
Aside from not having league pass it's treating me great. But the lack of league pass is really, REALLY hurting me....
U-Verse sent me an advertising to sign up for ESPN Game Plan. Pretty soon, the other "packages" for sports will follow suit. I bet anything that within the next year, they'll be there. Just you wait and see.

don't forget the xbox arcade does NOT come with a hard drive, and you have to buy one.. besides that, its a good deal.
