I'm sitting here talking to a Dell sales rep and I think I am being bs'ed. When I get to the checkout with the TV it tells me there is a 12 month interest free. I go to chat with a sales rep and to ask some questions. He tells me that the deal may not be available in the next couple hours, as I want to discuss it with my girl first. He also tells me that he can guarantee that I get the 12 month's interest free. Does this sound true? I mean do Dell deals go this fast? Why wouldn't we get the 12 month interest-free special? It doesn't say anything about new accounts?
its always like that dude, the deal periods usually end. also for financing, new people usually get better deals. I thought you said you were saving up your money so you can buy the TV without doing the payment thing! you can always find no interest deals on tvs, usually over $1000.
Read back a little and you will see that my sister lost her job and I had to pick up her slack. I am just getting, for lack of a better word, rid of her now. We went ahead and ordered the Sharp earlier today so it should be here sometime next week. We got the $450 off and the 12 months interest free. It's gravy. Now I have to work on the DirecTV upgrade. Thanks for all your help.
you need to threaten to switch to dish network if they don't give you the directv upgrade for free. it will work, keep trying, my friend did that when he upgraded.
It was back to 2299 but the 29th and 30th it was at 1899 just ilke the HL67A750. those were the two TVs I narrowed my choices to so I kept eyeing them both. I'm still eyeing them both to see if prices drop especially on my TV so I can get a price match if it falls lower than what I paid for it.
I have been a DirecTV customer for a little over a year. My contract is up on all but one of my receivers so I think I have a little less leeway than others in that department because to get out of that contract I would be liable for a hefty cancellation fee ($350 I believe). I have also been told that DirecTV is calling people's bluffs more and more on this type of threat. Maybe they will still work with me. We shall see. A question about surge protectors. When they say $50,000, $100,000, etc. worth of protection is that really true? When you buy it do you need to send something in to them showing you purchased it and what is connected to it? How do those work?
no worries on burn in on lcd, or even plasma now. plasma's now have built in anti-burn features. unless you have a screen frozen for like 48 hours, you're ok.
what are some good surge protecters to look at? mine is really old...thinking it might be a good idea to get a new one.
The new HD Tivo will be coming out sometime mid-next year for DTV. The current HDDVR's are a bit to be desired, depending on your exception. Power users do not like it. I personally think it could be greatly improved, quality wise. If they don't help you on your upgrade and your contract ends, perhaps you could put it in someone elses name ... getting a new customer deal.
Just wanted to use this opportunity to give major props to timman again. He told me what TV and stand to buy, and I love it!!!!!!!!!! Too bad Uverse doesn't have league pass. Life would be perfect then....
What? Are you saying surge protectors are not worth it or they don't match their guarantees or what? I'm slightly confused.
I've had tons of power outages, never once has my protector failed and left my tv to waste. you don't have to spend $$$ on it, unless you have good audio equipment ($$$$), it helps with the quality . spend $50-$100 and you'll be fine.
