I think everyone loves pizza, it is the ultimate comfort food and it is by far my favorite drunk food. I have been to dozens of pizza places around town in search of the best pie. I have only found two pies I really like. Star Pizza for their for deep dish/pan and Antonio's Flying Pizza for their NY style pie. I just wanted to see what kind of pizza Clutchfans like to see if I missed any pizza spots around town. If you even think about mentioning a chain like Dominos or Pizza Hut then gtfo of my topic.
Russo's ny style pizza on westheimer and chimney rock and Quattro in four seasons in downtown has good pizza.
Actually, there are a number of places with decent pizza here in Houston: Romano's on West Gray Luigi's on Almeda J Christopher's on Northpark in Kingwood Ciao Bello on San Felipe Star Pizza Kenneally's on Shepherd There are others, but I haven't had a chance to hit them up yet.
If we are talking Houston (metro), I passed by this cool looking pizza place called Grimaldi's Coal-Brick Oven Pizzeria in Sugarland. Is that any good? I didn't have time to stop in. There's this place called Fuzzy's on Westheimer, also.
As a little kid back in the 90's it was either this <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/phDAyOf6j1A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> or this <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Ri4bf8jIrbo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Nowadays any pan pizza from pizza hut will do. MMmm chicken and jalapenos with sriracha sauce on top This place is not bad either if you want great pasta and pizza
I went to a Grimaldi's in the Woodlands a couple years back. Best pizza I've had in greater Houston area.
Barry's chicken feta with mushroom and garlic on their whole wheat thick crust - nothin' beats it. Nothin'.
