I was almost ready to jump on the Bird is not a PF bandwagon but then I remembered Maxwell winning the MVP in the 80 NBA finals.

During that series and year he was the starting small forward and Bird was the starting Power Forward...I think. Let me know if I am wrong but I remember Bird and Maxwell playing together at the same time.

Wasn't Maxwell eventually traded so Bird could move to SF full time to free up the PF starting position for McHale?

I only watched Celtics ball when they played the Rockets back then so I could be wrong.

BTW, Does anybody know why Robert Reid used the number 33 on his jersey after Sampson took the number 50 (Reids number before his short lived retirement)?

i voted for charles because he had one thing that distinguished him from all the others: no, not his shot or his post-up game, i mean his mouth.

How is it that a guy that avg'd over 28 pts and 17 rebounds a game and played both college and pro ball here can not get enough respect to grab more than two votes.

Damn you guys would think he would have grabbed a ton of votes. Big E was just as good if not better than Malone, McHale and Chuck! Damn he was a Couger and a Rocket and the guy still cant get respect...what gives?
