    All passing team:

    PG: John Stockton
    SG: Magic Johnson
    SF: Larry Bird
    PF: Chris Webber
    C: Bill Walton

So I cheated a bit with Magic. He was usually paired up with a smaller backcourt teammate anyways.

I would not put Kidd ahead of Nash or Isiah in passing or court vision. IMO Kidd and Stockton's total assists are higher than those guys not because they are better passers but because they are lesser scorers (in in Kidd's case a lower % shooter) and have had better enderance and durability. Overall, at their peak, the passing ability of Isiah, Nash and Stockton was very close and probably just under Magic--and all 3 significantly ahead of Kidd in the half court.

Mark Jackson is pretty underrated as a passer. He was hampered in overall effectiveness because of his modest at best athleticism and weak shooting skills (for an NBA 1), but he got the out of his ability with great floor vision, knowledge of his teammates, and ability to get them the ball with timing and precision.

Oh, I'll add some players who are not overly impressive in total assits and A/TO because they were such scorers.

Charles Barkley and Tracy McGrady. Late in their career when they played with better teammates and transitioned their games they have been very impressive in court sense and ability to get the ball where it should.

I honestly believe Tmac is right with Lebron, Wade (when healthy) and AI (yes AI as a great passer too, another player understimated in passing ability because he is such a scorer). In fact I might say Tmac is the elite passing swingman in the league. Kobe does not have the feel for his teammates like these guys.

I probably can't give justice to guys like West, Oscar, Pete M, or even Wilt (who lead the league in assists one year)--so I won't comment on them.

    Magic is the greatest.
    Bird is right behind.
    Oscar was great.

There's no way you can deny Stockton, Kidd, Nash, Zeke, Cousy, KJ are/were great passers. Kidd is going to wind up at #2 behind Stockton in all time assists. And Nash is likely going to wind up in the top 5. They are all great passers.

Magic, Isaiah, and Pistol Pete were in a class of their own.
