Santana has had a variety of people over the years. Carlos was born in Mexico.....so not sure if the band meets the criteria.

    Nobody likes:

    Triumph?
    The Guess Who?
    BTO?

You are full of ****, bigtrolll and you know it. You thought you were being cute in thinking that Sigur Ros is from Canada and I busted your ass on it. The fact of the matter is you are talking out of your ass (as usual).

Let's look at the other bands that were mentioned before Rush and Sigur Ros, shall we?

AC/DC - from AUSTRALIA, not Canada
Kent - from SWEDEN, not Canada
Opeth - from SWEDEN, not Canada
Franz Ferdinand - from SCOTLAND, not Canada
Seether - from SOUTH AFRICA, not Canada
Our Lady Peace - from Canada!! (oh well, guess what they say about a blind hog is true)
Sigur Ros - from ICELAND, not Canada

So, in the world of bigtrolll, one is the same as several. Riiiight.

I win, you lose. You are out of your league when it comes to music discussions - go back to pissing people off in political and University of Texas threads, mkay? LOL

England or not, Led Zeppelin must be mentioned in this thread. Not only the best best outside of the US but best band ever.

Actually considering the day I have had at work (found out will have to work the whole weekend) and considering who it was, yes I do, Brian.

You really just made a fool of yourself. I was correct. Our Lady Peace and Rush were Canadian. Those were who I was referring to. You can argue that two does not consitute "several" (the original word I used), but that's pretty lame. I was absolutely not trying to call you on Sigur Ros (something tells me you just like to say that word...).

It's not all about you, brah.

    Iced Earth

have any of you heard their album The Glorious Burden?
actually, i'm not sure if they're American. but Glorious Burden is an epic and patriotic album. that alone should make them so.:)

    edit: misread the title, whatever.

    Um, no.

    Here is what you said:

"There were several other previously listed Canadian bands besides Rush in the thread."

The words that are italicized are real important. So by using the word "besides", you discount Rush from your number and as I have proven in my previous post, only one of the bands mentioned before Rush was Canadian. So, in other words, only 1 band was Canadian and unless you are from Bizarro World (very good possibility), one AND several are not synonyms of each other. Didn't you go to Rice? Apparently, English or really basic sentence comprehension wasn't stressed too hard there. Guess your parents are loaded then.

But keep posting more excuses to try to cover up your lack of knowledge on this subject. I find it very amusing. It is okay to admit that you are clueless on something, bigtrolll. Really, it is.

One of these days, I'm going to check them out. I've heard nothing but rave reviews about them.

    Manny, this is absolutely pathetic.

I made an offhand comment which trivialized Canada’s importance. It had absolutely nothing to do with your post. You somehow view it as an attack on your music knowledge, and resort to slinging insults at me and questioning my education and parents’ net worth. Manny, on days like this, you should just step away from the keyboard and take your frustrations out elsewhere. I feel sorry for you.

I guess this post is your white flag or surrender.:)

Well, I was going to type out a long response to this, but it is not worth it. However, patheticness (which is probably not a word, but anyway) is in the eye of the beholder. Most of your posts are pathetic as they are nothing more than to stir up **** aka trolling.

But yes, I don't like you. At one time, I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, but I have seen too many examples of you deliberately trying to get under people's skin (like what you were doing in this thread). You can do that crap until the cows come home in political threads and all the D&D threads - I don't care. But I do care about music and if you say something stupid, even to be cute, in a music thread, I'll bust you on it. Capice?

    'The Soundtrack of Our Lives'

and, against my initial gut reaction -

    'Franz Ferdinand'
