That list gave me an aneurysm. It's just flat out WRONG on so many levels.

First of all, Adrian Peterson belongs NOWHERE on that list. He's in his SECOND FREAKING SEASON. How about we let the guy play for a few years before we anoint him the second coming of Zeus.

Secondly, Barry Sanders was the GREATEST OF ALL TIME.....with Earl Campbell coming in a close second. Marshall Faulk was great, but does NOT deserve to be in the top 5 with guys like Sanders, Campbell, Dickerson, Brown, and Smith ALL ranking ahead of him.

Gah, I'm so mad right now.

I wouldn't get too angry about something some random guy put together and blogged about.

Another thing I always loved about Barry, and this has no real bearing on how good of a back he was, is the way when he scored touchdowns, he just handed the ball to the ref and went about his business. He didn't do some stupid ass endzone dance, he didn't fellate himself for all the world to see, he just acted like he had been there before (many times before) and went back to the sidelines until it was his turn to embarass guys again. Loved that about Barry.

Yeah, I realized what I had typed after I already hit submit. But still, second or third season, the basic premise is still the same. One of the basic characteristics of any good RB is the ability to perform over long, sustained periods of time, and 3 seasons in, I don't think we can label AP as out of the woods on that front yet.

And yeah, I'm not actually mad. That was more of a joke. But I still feel the urge to be a cyber-bully towards this guy, and call him a clown for multiple reasons.

Jim Brown highlights of him running in the pros remind me of Ricky Williams highlights when he was college or Sam Mcguffie highlights from High School.

Brown just looks like a man among boys out there -- the size and speed of the guy is just outrageous.

If your counting stats for Peterson to be 10th, MJD > Peterson. MJD has a horrible line compared to Peterson as well.

2,829 rushing yards, 43 career touchdowns, WAY MORE ALL-PURPOSE yards

    >

3,513 rushing yards, 28 career touchdowns, worse hands.

I may be biased but I believe LT should be higher. I mean his accolades are crazy, I can't post em' on here because there's too many..

LT is the best RB EVER in the redzone, inside that 20 he WILL find that td.

In 2006 he was inhuman, 31 tds, 19 touchdowns in a span of 6 games, THREE 4 td games. 2 td passes. 2,323 yards from scrimmage. In my opinion the best year by ANY rb ever.

Call me crazy but LT still has it, he looked great against the Steelers on the few carries he had, we didn't run the ball because we were down early.. Anyone who has paid attention to the Chargers for the past 2 seasons has noticed that Norv Turner has completely turned this team into a "air it out mentality" which is not all bad because Rivers has emerged as a elite QB.

BTW AP has a very very bright future (even though he fumbles too much) but he does not deserve to be on that list yet. I believe Marcus Allen should be on that list, same with Gale Sayers.

I did, he told me he'll contain better next time. :D

Man 221 yards as a backup..

Unbelievable......but not as unbelievable as Sproles 328 all-purpose yards and game winning run against the Colts last year!

    ;)

    Now you're just being a full-fledged homer.

All Purpose yards is a weasel stat if KO return yards are being counted.

BTW don't know if they posted this but Earl Campbell should be in the top 4.

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/tfJybuzkMT0&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/tfJybuzkMT0&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

For those of you who don't know, that 32 player on the Raiders at :23 is one of the hardest hitters to EVER play the game. Jack Tatum the assassin. One of the biggest collisions known to date.

Earl Campbell defines the term "truck".

Not to derail, but I saw this when I watched the Barry Sanders Super Tecmo Bowl run....My god, this is unbelievable! I know some people went nuts breaking tackles, but this is beyond crazy!

Barry Sanders was the greatest RB I've ever seen in my life. I would compare him to Michael Jordan because anytime Detriot had a nationally televised game I would drop everything to watch him run.

No other RB had his ability to stop, cut, and accelerate to top speed like he could. Amazing athlete.
