Ok guys, now this is one category I'm pretty clueless about. I typically have a shake once every 5 years, but today I have a craving for one and felt if I'm going to pig out on a milkshake I might as well get a good one.

I've read some reviews online, but I figured I'd let y'all chime in.

So who makes the best milkshake in H-town?

The best milkshake in Texas imo comes from the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin...the West Oaks Drafthouse here in Houston sadly doesn't compare though.

But for Houston, I don't think you can go wrong with Fuddruckers, 59 Diner or Princes. Haven't been to Prince's in a long while so that may have changed. But Fuddruckers, freakin' awesome. And there's a lot leftover in the mixing cup they give you too. Win-win.

    Chick-fil-A

Kind of screwed if you want it today though since it's closed on Sundays.

Beck's Prime hands down for me. Their dessert portion is the right size.

    Culver's isn't bad either.

I was going to say something dirty(come one 'milkshake' that's like an insult layup about your mom done in one).. but this bbs is not ready for that.

Is this a cleverly disguised Farrells nostalgia thread?

milkshakes are always best at a mom and pop places in a town like schulenburg on a hot day.

incidentally I was at a cat house in rio and they kept playing it over and over again with the girls on the pole, devious stare. Really weird. Here's the song:

My allegiances lie with Chik-Fil-A. Unfortunate that the franchise is not a secular one, though. Steak and Shake is another possibility. I suggest the side by side chocolate/banana shake.

I suggest you do not go to a fast food restaurants for your milk shakes, they never make the best of anything

For milkshakes, diners are usually the place to go, so I say 59 or Avalon

My milkshake brings all the girls to the yard.

    I guess...

Not really a milkshake person. But if I do drink one, a lot of times, I get a brain freeze.
