Damn, I miss that place. Their felafels were awesome. I've tried several other places, but nobody comes close.
They raised the price to $6.50, but it is still an incredible buffet. It's so good you forget you are eating vegetarian food.
Try the falafel at Super Pita, on Hillcroft between South Braeswood and Willowbend. Only prob is the only place to sit is two tables outside. Their falafel will make you forget all about Mama's. Costs $4.25.
BigSherv...where in Chinatown (Bellaire Blvd west of Gessner or b/w Fondren and Gessner) would you recommend for a Vietnamese sandwich? Preferably chicken or beef.
You live in my hood? Welcome! Get it to go since seating is very limited. They make it Israeli style with fried cauliflower or zucchini on top, and will put hot sauce on it if you ask. So where in Chinatown (west side) can I get a good Vietnamese sandwich?
The 6 inch special at subway is $2.99. Do you guys really eat all this garbage you posted, seriously? And sodas? wow
I may be wrong but the place to go is called Lee's. It is near Diho before you hit 8 when driving towards West Houston. Man there is one that I love but it has an odd name and I can't remember it. It is behind Lee'ss in the Diho market area also. The place I can't remember has the leanest pork I have ever had in a sandwich. I often do the buy 5 and get one free. i eat two while I am there and take the rest home. I texted a buddy of mine. Hopefully he can remember the name. UPDATE: Than Noi Sandwich shop. It is really small immediately left of the supermarket.
Subway is garbage. Taste wise at least. In north Houston they have a place called Lenny's sub. That is where it is at. You order a sandwich and they slice the meat right when you order it. All the lettuce an tomatoes are fresh not sitting for days at Subways.
If you are in the my hood you gotta try Cues burgers. Order the chicken strip meal. It will take you 3 days to finish it.
I ate at Lee's in Irvine...it is a chain so I believe there has got to be a better mom and pop shop for sandwiches. I can't recall the names of the places I've eaten at...there was a place in HK Mall and also a strip center east of the Beltway. I usually barter for a free drink. If you drive down Bellaire I don't think you can go wrong with any sandwich shop. You know what I think is awesome...Tan Tan. Nothing like it at 3 AM. Not under $5 though.
For some reason I don't like Lee's sandwhiches. Not enuf of that heart attack inducing homemade mayonnaise that most places slather on the bread. I used to get sandwhiches at Givral's in Diho. Super Pita is great. I can walk there from my place.
I long for the $.59, $.79, $.99 days. If you liked a girl, you met up at the mall and you let her pick from the $.99 items.
