The #1 from Whataburger. Best fast food burger, large fries, large soda for about $4.75.

RMT did you just use "RAWK" in a post? Your Chronicle blogging celebrity has clearly gone to your head. :D

There is a place over by Delmar stadium on Longpoint between Silber and Hempsted called Sandwich King. They have cheesesteaks, burgers, and roast beef pitas (my favorite) with steak fries and free drink refills for just over $5. They always have ESPN on at lunchtime and have a Yao Ming growth chart in the dining area. That's the best meal for me.

I just got Micky D's big delux breakfast platter for just under $5. The best fastfood breakfast IMO.

I'll go with a 'suprise' breakfast burrito from any real taqueria (the ones that are run by individual families). Those things are always huge, filling and under $5.

In college I often went to a little Tex-Mex place in Beaumont called Carlito's. The lunch burrito (my favorite), taco, or enchilada meal was $3. Domestic beer was $1 until 5. Chips and salsa were free. And they offered a 15% college discount. Lunch with a tip came in at under $5.

Other choices: Gyro from a Greek fast food place, and my favorite Fast Food chain meal: Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, Chili, Caesar Side Salad, and Small drink from Wendy's.
