Can't beat the convenience, but theirs always seem pretty watered-down to me. My wife always gets the strawberry marg on the rocks and when I taste it, I can't taste any alcohol at all. Basically a $12 glass of ice cubes with a little Kool-Aid.

Sweet. Game nights are pretty fun there. Always lots of Rocket fans before and afterwards.

Another fun thing to do is to go to the free happy hour inside the Embassy Suites. They never bother to check if you're actually staying there or not. :)

Can we pivot for a moment?

Inspired by this thread, yesterday I made margaritas on the rocks with fresh squeezed lemon and lime, El Amo Blanco tequila, and Grand Marnier. It's going to be a hot summer, anyone else have any must try margarita recipes?

I've been known to add a little diced up serrano pepper to mine.

That's pretty good. The real key is the fresh squeezed lemons and limes. I use 3 limes to 1 lemon ratio. Also you can make your own simple syrup if you like. Adjust it for desired sweetness level.

In response to this thread, I have a polled a sizable group of Mexican Industrialists as to their favorite margaritas in Houston. Their first response was that they drink their tequila straight -- like a man with magnificent hair would drink it. Their second response was the top shelf margarita from Hugo's, with a third place finisher of Caracol. Para emborracharse rapidamente, I would suggest going to El Patio and ordering the frozen blue margarita.

Walking from Hugo's to the Toyota Center takes approximately 1 hour although considerable time will be shaved off the journey from the "nervous jogging" that you will likely do through some of the neighborhoods along the way.

Trudy's and Fonda San Miguel in Austin are solid.

La Condesa makes delicious margaritas, too. They add pineapple juice and it gives the drink a great new flavor.

If you're willing to get shuttled for free then I would go to the original ninfas on navigation. They have the best margaritas, and food as well , in Houston. It's about 5 mins from the Toyota center and they'll shuttle you to the game for free!!!! Plus it's a nice semi fancy restaurant. Hey serve authentic Mexican food. Can't beat that

How's the food there? Been wanting to hit it for brunch or dinner sometime.
