What are the best margaritas within walking distance from TC? The wife and I are going to the game tonight and want to enjoy ourselves before hand. We like them strong.

I agree with this...walking distance from Toyota Center, as well. I ate there after a Rockets game earlier in February. Good stuff.

The Pastry War for anything Tequila/Mezcal related, but its a bit of a walk.

You could walk to Hearsay, they make great drinks, but not specifically Margaritas

Pastry War. Not that far of a walk, 10 mins or so

Wherever you go, tell them put some olives in it. Actually pretty good compliment.

I've heard amazing things about this place. What advice do I need when I go there?

Weird name for a cocktail bar.

Its named after a war between Mexico and France over an unpaid bakery debt.

It's basically a cocktail place with a focus on tequilla and mezcal drinks. They have some adventurous drinks, or you can go with basic margaritas, micheladas and Mexican beer.

    Food is limited

Just go buy them inside the TC. They've become experts at alcohol drinks in the world

I was kicked out of Guadalajara for screaming "don't eat the chicken!!!" While rolling down the stairs.

Good drinks. And happy hour food menu is great!

From my experience, it doesn't matter what you are screaming while rolling down the stairs. They'll kick you out every time.

I guess you didn't try "Viva Mexico" during a World Cup game.
