I see... It was all just a misunderstanding then... And just to be clear, unlike your case where you may not care for Syd's music (understandably), I actually do also enjoy the Gilmour/Waters era of Pink Floyd, particularly "Meddle", "Wish you were here" and "The Wall"... I simply prefer the former for purely subjective reasons..
To say nothing of early Wright/Waters efforts... My favorites, of course, are featured in the compilation album "Relics"...
