bombay brasserie IS really awesome, now that i think of it.

their kheer is OFF THE CHAINS, y'all.

and their vegetable korma is coma-inducing.

yeah when i don't mind paying a little more and gaining 5 pounds, i go to BB.

Everyone has their own preference. I believe spicy paki food is great and I don't have runny nose after I eat or during.

Some of my friends think brasserie is bland and americanized.

My parents used to always go to this place called La Sani near Westwood. I was never impressed with it, though.

Shiv Sagar not bad for fast food. The sav puri is great and ask for extra spicy. :) Also, Raja's pakora curry and chum chum sweet.

Which place has the best chaat in town? There used to be this place in Sugarland called Chaat House or similar but it shut down.

I use like to go to Gourmet India or was it India Gourmet, can't remember it was down on westhiemer past beltway 8 and the past the Slick's.

In the southeast, Mogul has been a favorite of mine.

There use to be a place on beechnut that was decent, Haveli? I think it's closed though.

Royal Restaurant and Savoy are up there when it comes to quality Indian/Pakistani food. Great prices too. I fed my entire family of 8 with 40 bucks one time eating at Savoy.

Is Bombay Brasserie a buffet, menu or both? Been meaning to try that but heard their prices are pretty high.

Sheikh Chili's used to be pretty awesome. I dont know if they are still around cause I know a few Sheikh Chili's restaurants closed down.

Shahnai Buffet on Hilcroft has really fallen off in quality.

Surprisingly as much as I love the spicy meaty dishes...any restaurant that can make some slammin' daal, has my business and so far only Royal and Savoy have pulled that off.

Savoy has been solid for a long time. Not a big fan of Royal, but its okay.

The original Sheik Chili on Hilcroft is still there. Its actually better then it used to be. The nihair is freakin awesome!

Pretty sure Bombay Bras is buffet and menu. Last time I went the buffet was like fifteen bucks.

You are right about Shannai. The place has gone downhill fast.
