What do you mean a real pro? Fish sauce always comes with Vermicelli bowls. That's standard practice. :D

My favorites are unfortunately no longer available...

The potato skins at Bullwinkle's in Huntsville were freaking awesome. That is, until the owner burned the place down a few years ago.

I like the Bread at Macaroni Grill.

Its free and I'm way too cheap to buy appetizers and meals. :p

Obviously The_Conquistador only dines at the finest, critically acclaimed restaurants, so I'll keep things relatively downmarket for the benefit of the readership...

    1) Jose's Dip - Molina's (I hate the rest of the menu and food)

    2) The green salsa at El Tiempo / 1308 Cantina

    3) Fried calamari at Carrabba's

Thanks, Fatty. The mere mention of this thread and my posts in it spawned a Southwestern Egg Roll craving in my wife that led me to order Chili's carry-out last night. I dropped $30 on glorified fast food. I'm blaming you for starting this thread and prompting the discussion.

The skillet queso was worth it, though. There's crack in there.
