What are some of y'alls favorite hotels to stay at in the houston area? Looking to stay close to good restaurants and most action...looking at Hotel icon, hotel Zaza and marriot with texas pool. I would like to hear the opinions on these and maybe yall can suggest better options...

Hotel Icon is nice. A block away from MMP. Big jacuzzi tubs. They dont have any microwaves in the building though.

Marriott Marquis, especially during the summer for the Texas shaped lazy river on the roof. They've got restaurants downstairs, Biggios Sports bar, and then your walking distance from Papadeuex, Papasitos, and across from Discovery Green which has The Grove restaurant (never been).

That area of Downtown (George R Brown / Discovery Green) has gotten real nice after the Superbowl last year. Just like Icon and Zaza, the Marquis is walking distance from the light rail if you wanted to make a stop in midtown

Stay at the Marriott Marquis. Go have some food and drinks at Xochi or Biggio's, check out an Astros game, then Uber to Market Square and get faded in downtown. I'm hungover just thinking about it.

Marquis is amazing and you can never go wrong at the Hilton downtown. Four Seasons is really nice too.

One that no one ever mentions is Embassy Suites downtown. Right across the street from TC. The rooms are huge, they have a complimentary happy hour (free booze) from 5 to 7 every night, an awesome (free) breakfast in the morning. We always stay there when we go to a concert or game at TC. Get hammered at the happy hour then head across the street to TC. They also have a free shuttle that will take you anywhere you want to go downtown.

Club Quarters is a business hotel that has good deals on the weekend. Nice hotel, not much amenities but close to a lot of things.
