Man if you guys like those Franchise types of burgers .. You need to try Pete's Fine Meats on Richmond and Chimney Rock. Its more of a Butcher shop than a Deli. But HOLY COW The Best Damn Bacon Cheesburger I have ever tasted. Warning to you guys once you step into Pete's Fine Meats get ready to change your clothes. It going to smell like the grill once your done. lol And when you talk about fresh. Nobody makes it any fresher ( if thats a word ) I've tried Fudruckers,Sweet Mesquite, Clays ( Which I think they have the best Chicken Fried Steak ) you name it I've proably eaten there. But man Pete's fine meat .. !! got to try it.
My azz has eatin' at 5 of the 7 and hands down, Tookies is the best...It also has the best Onion Rings, period... They don't have food like that in Dallas...Although, Dukes has pretty good burgers...
I've only had Fudd's, so my voting may have skewed the outcome. Fudd's is good, but I'll take a flame-grilled burger over it anyday (except BK).
i havnt been to alot of places on the poll but one place i seem to always love the burgers is Sweet Mesquite
A man after my own heart. My work buddies and I go to Pete's Wicked Meats (that's what we call it) for lunch every week or 2. Not only is it tastey, but it's priced to move!
I like listening to Snit's Dog and Pony Show or The Dukes of Houston while eating a Christian's burger.
my problem with Tookies is everything was a la carte. Burger was like $5 then you pay for fries and drink with no refills on drinks without paying. but the Squealer is pretty tasty
Has anyone tried Husky's? They just opened one near my house and I had a pretty good burger there Sunday night. I'm not ready to label it best though.....I'll have to have a couple more to be sure . It reminded me of Sweet Mesquite though b/c they used a sourdough bun. Very yummy!
Miller's Cafe on Bay Area Blvd (in Clear Lake) Barry's Feed Lot (in Deer Park) are personal favorites, but I haven't eaten there in ten years. Must. eat. COW. today. at. lunch.
What!?!?! Man I grew up in Deer Park, just moved out of there about a month ago. In all those years I never once stepped foot in Charburger. It just always looked straight up trashy to me. So in other words, it fit right in to Deer Park. Maybe I'll have to try it next time I drive down there to visit family, but I don't know man...it looks pretty shady.
What is up with all of the Deer Park talk today? Barry's feed lot is still there, but they just recently turned it into a hamburger joint/chinese restaurant. Now if that doesn't sound like quality dining I don't know what is! That's another place I never went to in all my years of living over there. I've been to Barry's burger barn on Spencer a couple times, but it's pretty trashy now too.
1. P.O's in Cypress (on Telge) - Anyone living close to Cypress, I higihly recommend this place. Cold beer and greasy burgers. 2. Sweet Mesquite - Sourdough bun and mesquite flavor ...mmmmmm 3. Friday's - Use to hate this place but went there a few weeks ago and have found that their burgers are top notch.
There was a Feed Lot in Texas City. The name alone is horrible. Was that place where you could get drive-thru margaritas in Deer Park? I have eaten at El Toro in DP many times. Pretty darn good.
My favorites are, in no particular order....... Roznovsky's Annies Hamburgers Lankford Grocery Christian's Tailgate Pappas Burgers
