I was waiting for someone to say Fudruckers. You get a bang for your buck their. Nachos and a 1/2 pound burger for $10. Sweet Mesquite in Woodway is good.
Barnaby's is my current favorite. I'm addicted to their blue cheese/bacon burger. Anyone who argues in favor of Lankford, Tookies, or Christian's(not the midtown location) has a solid case.
I haven't eaten there, and from the reviews I've read, I've no doubt it is a great burger. But the man is right............grinding kobe beef would be like Britney Spears covering Led Zep songs..........it's sacrilege.
On the NE side, Pete's Hamburgers (on 494 north of Kingwood) might be one of the best burgers I've ever had. Went there for the first time last weekend. I know it's incredibly un-hip to mention a chain, but Fuddruckers does make a pretty good burger and it's pretty affordable too.
Anyone has the black bean burger at Bennigans? mmmm it's good I keep trying to find black bean burger patties at the grocery store and I can't.
I haven't lived in Houston for about 20 years, but Luke's and then after Luke got a divorce Annie's had very, very good burgers. Are they still around?
McDonald's...oh wait... Not in Houston but in Kemah, Tookies...very very good, plus the onion rings rock...
That's Christian's Totem. And you are correct...those burgers are great. Goode Co Taqueria has great mesquite grilled burgers as well
Using fattier beef for you ground beef is what you want for a good burger. But that Kobe Burger at Max's is most likely made from american Kobe Style Beef which doesn't cost nearly as much as real Kobe Beef from Japan.
Lucky Burger on Richmond FTW! If you're ever in the Southeast part of Houston, you can never go wrong with Shuttle Burger (near hobby), Great freaking burgers.
Ah. I've heard it called both and there is a big tailgate on the outside, so that's why I called it that. I liked it better before he tried to upscale it, but still the best, no matter what it's called.
I'm a big fan of Houston's (the restaurant) hamburgers. Sure, they're a bit expensive, but damn are they good. Also, I rather like the hamburgers from Willie's.
Lankford's Grocery has the best burgers AND atmosphere AND chicken-fried steak. Place is the ****! Tookie's in Kemah and Otto's on Memorial also have some damn fine burgers. Christian's is good as well. When it comes to fast food, I go with the double-meat bacon & cheese Whataburger.
