    Jesse Johnson on 'Jungle Love' a song by Morris Day and 'The Time'

    I think it's the best R and B guitar solo, if that catagory exists.

    The best guitar solo ever was Jimmie Vaughan's solo in the Fabulous Thunderbirds re-make of Slim Harpo's "Tip On In".

    OMG fadeaway...how could you or any self-respecting rock music fan forget about EVH's solos?? Eddie's solos (especially the early ones) were pure things of beauty...
    needless to say,
    #1 solo---Eruption
    the rest in no certain order,
    Little Guitars
    All along the Watchtower
    (gotta go with behad on this one)..All the solo work from Hotel California..
    lotsa Iron Maiden solos(do bass solos count?)
