Besides yours or Momma's. I'm a Popeyes guy. I like Frenchy's, it's maybe my second and KFC's crispy. That being said what inspired this thread is Kroger's deli. It is great, basic seasoning and every piece is moist
Popeye’s and Frenchy’s…MadMax likes his chicken spicy!!!!! Used to love Tinsley’s up in Huntsville…not sure if it’s still there, but it’s really good. Those rolls were incredible.
The first time I heard a person choose Church's over Popeyes it blew my mind. That being said I do like their spicy chicken Non fast food always disappoints
It's crazy that there's such a large portion of the population that does not in fact want flavor. They say things like: "I want to taste the natural flavor of the chicken"
Church’s just has that crispy skin, nice and salty. Don’t get me wrong, Popeyes is the best overall. But for just a piece of fried chicken I’d take Church’s
I haven't had fried chicken in a while (the stuff'll kill ya!), but when I was just looking for fast food fried chicken when I was younger, it would be Popeye's, but as I got older, that stuff just tasted way too salty. Also weird that as a kid, I loved their biscuits, but as I got older, they seemed like doorstops or hockey pucks. The spices all started tasting chemical, too. This was at about 3 different Popeye's I'd tried. Just weird. When Church's spicy first came out, I loved it. Haven't tried it in years, though. Later I tried Jollybee's and loved it. Began going there instead of Popeye's, especially when the threat of a beatdown at any of the various Popeye's became too great. My favorite fried chicken of all is one of the places that serve Nashville hot chicken style. To me, that's how fried chicken should be done. Don't judge, but I will always miss Hooters wings with the Bentley sauce. Back in the 80's/90's or so, Timmy Chan's had garlic chicken on a stick that was absolute crack! I don't know if they still have it, but damn, that stuff was awesome. Better than anything served at any of the fast food chains.
Popeyes if we're talking bone-in fried chicken that's nationally available. But I haven't had it in over a year now. The prices are insane now. You could get an 11 piece mixed for about $10 a couple years ago. Now it's $20.
I’m sitting here thinking ‘I don’t really care’ and my stomach starts growling. So l’ll go with Popeyes.
I’m gonna draw some hate for this, but if you can find a fresh out of the fryer KFC original, that **** is easily my second favorite of all. It could be a bit spicier heat wise, but when fresh, it’s awesome. First place is my own.
