    You can get from the Meyerland area (that's where I recall you said you lived) to Frenchy's in 10 minutes?!?

    If fried chicken wings is within this category, I'd have to vote for Timmy Chan's.

    Yup, straight down South Post Oak to Fuqua, or west on West Bellfort to 59.

    There are Frenchy's in both of those locations. I just never go to them. I only go to the one on Scott.

    I hear ya. I never knew about it until I was driving home from a gig a couple of weekends ago. That's the one near West Bellfort and 59. It's in a strip mall.

    I haven't been to the on South Post Oak, but the one on 59 isn't nearly as good as the one on Scott or even the one on 45 North.

    Did you ever make it to "O'Frenchy's?" It's on Hillcroft near S. Main. It used to be a Frenchy's, and then some Chinese people bought it and drew an "O'" in front of the Frenchy's name. They have fried chicken and sides AND some Chinese food. I would actually put it above Frenchy's.......they appear to be using the same recipe, but they use larger pieces of chicken. Now, I maintain that smaller chickens are the way to go for frying, but I sometimes think Frenchy's takes that to the extreme. It tastes wonderful, but I usually wonder if I'm eating sparrow and not chicken.

    I have been to the Hartz on Fondren and South Main. Good fried livers.

    Have you lost your mind? :eek:

    Frenchy's = best chicken

    Raising Cane's = Good alternative to regular fried chicken (If you're in the mood for something different)

    KFC = crabbin' bait.

    During the playoffs last season I was in the Starbucks at the Medical Center, when who should walk in but a rather confused-looking Bonzi Wells. He had a rather...voluptuous lady on his arm.

    I waved and said "What's up, Bonzi?!"

    He replied with something to effect of "When did this turn into Starbucks, I thought it used to be a Popeye's?"

    Being the bastion of southern hospitality I am, I kindly directed Mr. Wells to the Popeye's around the corner.

    That being said, I voted Popeye's.

    Love me some chicken wings. But after having a plate full of bones I begin to wonder if they come from baby chickens, then I start feeling bad. :(

    I found it to be bland. But the breasts are huge.

    Any restaurant in a Citgo can't be all bad.
