i <3 chicken livers 2! however, they don't like me? neither does fried chicken. the best fried chicken and livers i've ever had can be found in burgenland, outside of vienna, in an age-old austian wine garden that we frequent when visiting during the harvest. how pretentious is that?
Really, since I tried Williams I always thought it had a lot more flavor than the other chains but I'm hardly an expert, I eat fried chicken once every blue moon
I'm torn between Popeye's and KFC. The actual chicken meat is better from Popeye's but the skin from KFC is soooooooooooooooo good. Church's is too greasy.
Ditto + a biscuit. I feel like hell afterwards but it's great going down. Unfortunately, the Popeye's by my house burnt down last year and hasn't show any signs of re-opening any time soon. Just sitting there teasing me.
Frenchy's, Popeyes, then there's babes chicken, which rivals frenchy's i think. Its located in dallas, and its the best in that city.
where is babes? EDIT: Nevermind, I found some. Doubt if it's good as Frenchy's, but I'll try this week sometime and post a reply.
Frenchys and Breakfast CLub in Houston Babes in Dallas If you are in Houston and have never tried Frenchys go get some now.
KFC has the best chicken, but Popeyes side dishes own everything else out there. The gravy with little chunks of meat, red beans and rice, and dirty rice...mmm....
I have a serious love/hate relationship with that particular Popeye's still being inoperable. On the one hand, it sucks because it's the closest Popeye's to my house. On the other, I'm not really tempted to eat fried chicken as often -- except every time I pass Top Notch down the street -- thus potentially adding years to my life.
I used to love Grandy's fried chicken. I loved that place growing up and I wish they were still here in H-Town. Maybe it's because I didn't eat it growing up but I don't dig Frenchy's. When I eat fried chicken it is usually Popeye's but nothing beats making it at home.
I liked Frenchy's when I've had it, but it's not anywhere close to me so I can't put it at the top of my list. I'll have to go Hartz just because of the buffet. I love me some gizzards and livers. Some underrated fried chicken is the Kroger fried chicken.
They've also put up one on Little York and Shepherd across from the Post Office. Nothing beats the one on Scott and Wheeler imo though.
Frenchy's is too far. You have to live inside the loop and on the SE side of town to even be close. How many people here live within 5 no wait 10 minutes of Frenchy's?
if you work downtown and have a good parking situation you can to to either the uofh or fifth ward frenchy's.
