Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard of Ozz (First solo album) Dream Theater - Images and Words Pantera - Cowboys from Hell (I don't count their local Dallas indie releases)
i can't believe i forgot the weezer album. i was just listening to it right now, definitely one of the best albums last decade.
Good calls. I love Gang of Four's first and Devo was just a blast. I would have loved to see the reunited Gang's recent tour.
long live syd! gilmour is a wanker! how about kanye west - college dropout rem - murmer janes addiction - i say nothings shocking was their first proper album, but triple xxx is deserving of mention as well. gun n' roses - appetite for destruction. yes, axl is a prick but the guy WAS a great frontman and vocalist imo. every song on that record kicks total ass. nellie mckay - get away from me! 18 year old multi-instrumentalist/genre hopping double album. indie-pop-jazz-cabaret-rap? morrisey - viva hate - i saw the smiths mentioned, but i like this record better (blasphemy, i know). the las - the only album those guys put out. every song is great. mercury rev - yerself is steam - flaminglips esque psychedellic noise pop. NERD - in search of...
Tight thread - I love music threads, I don't know how I didn't see it sooner. Stone Temple Pilots - Core --- THE best (in my opinion) and my favorite debut album EVER. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin I --- My sixth favorite album by them, but they are my favorite band and always will be, so I gotta have them on here. Green Day - Dookie --- I can't express how freaking good this CD is. I own a lot of CD's and this is probably the only CD I never skip a song when my iPod is on shuffle. Audioslave - Audioslave --- If you like hard rock, this album is just sheer brilliance. Velvet Revolver - Contraband --- Scott Wieland is the man. Slash rules. 50 Cent - Get Rich or Die Tryin' --- This wasn't the best selling album of any genre in 2003 for nothing. Alice In Chains - Facelift --- Good call to whoever mentioned this earlier. Great, great band, great CD. So in order...
