yes sir... the great son house. look up the video of death letter by the white stripes off their dvd "under blackpool lights" absolutely amazing. in fact, that entire dvd is jaw dropping and is what pretty much cemented them (imo) as one of the greatest band of the past generation.
Does everyone here know that two members of Arcade Fire are from the Houston area? Another is a first generation Canadian whose parents are from Haiti, so they are a very interesting band with multinational origins and influences that were steeped in the uber creative English and French Montreal music scenes. So they may well represent the future of pop music in a number of ways.
