Like Max said, go with the tacos.

I also think they have great nachos.

And for breakfast, get the faijita and eggs platter. Sub potatoes for the beans and order extra tortillas. Grab cilantro, pico, and jalepenos.

    Awesome breakfast, IMO.

All great points! There's no way Fuddrucker's is fast food, just not happening.

Fuddrucker's is fast food.... and Grizzlie Adams had a beard.

James Coney Island must win this round! C'mon Taco Bell? Gimme a break! If JCI doesn't advance then the people on this board wouldn't know great food if it was shoved down their throats. This franchise needs to be outside of Houston, so the rest of the country can be educated.

I don' t think Fuddrucker's is fast food because: you get more food, it's somewhat higher quality, and it's a lot more expensive (than places like Whataburger). The level of stuff you get, and its price, is a lot closer to that of "sit-down", table-service restaurants. The building is a lot bigger and seems to include a lot of "atmosphere", not just a place to sit down until you get through eating.

Speaking of the Taco Cabana at Montrose and Westheimer... that one's mainly good for people watching late at night. All kinds come through there (or at least used to...). Otherwise, eat at one of the others. The salsas need work, but I'll forgive them... good beef fajita meat and tortillas...

oh, i have another one...you put your own condiments on at Fuddrucker's. they have that bar with lettuce, onions, jalapenos and all kinds of stuff where you dress your own sandwich. don't see that at mcdonald's...which is kind of the point of fast food.

yeah but come on Taco Cabana's food vs Fuddruckers? Fudd uses fresh meat and buns..does the Cabana?

Taco Cabana will get your food ready within 3 minutes..not Fuddruckers

    also important:

    6) It has a butcher area where you can view the meats as well as a bakery and dessert station

To me, it is fast food if you go to place an order in a queue, and pick it up.

While McDonalds pre makes their food, Jack in the Box, Burger King and Whataburger are all cooked to order. That is why I'm not seeing the difference.

Fuddruckers is a lot closer to Whataburger than Chili's.

As for pricing, their burgers run at $3.99 and up.

Sonics Island Fire burger? $3.99. DQ's Flamethrower burger? $3.99.

does Whataburger, Jack in the Box, Burger King use frozen meat? Fuddruckers burgers just taste fresh..I can't say the same about the above

to me thats the difference..the food quality

I agree. Which is why Fudds is still in, while Burger King and Jack in the Box have been voted out. Because Fudds is a better joint.

I'd also like to say that Beck's Prime's menu is almost identical in pricing to Fudds. And nobody argued that Beck's isn't fast food.

In addition to my other very salient points, this point has not been refuted.

i agree...if they give you a ligthy thingamabob, then they're not a fast food joint.

and you're right..the last time i ate there, it was a good 10 minutes before my food was ready. that ain't FAST food.

I have some simple criteria. Drive through=fast food, no drive through=no fast food.

Taco Cabana has a drive through, fuddruckers doesn't.
