If this duo stayed and stays healthy it will/would be better than Parker-Duncan.
Kobe-Shaq isn't untouchable but that L.A. team was global.

With the Spurs, it's always be Duncan + some times Parker, other times Ginobili. Clearly no definit second star -as both Tony & Manu are not really franchise player type, and they are not trying to dominate, but simply complement each other.

About Tony, it's debatable -he's clearly not a pass first PG at this stage of his career, but his game in the Spurs actually is written by coach Popovich himself. He actually encourages Tony to be aggressive in scoring and shoot more. Nonetheless, great court vision is something that either you have or don't, and honestly i think he's only average on that.

About Eva, dang well you're right.
    Adela Noriega ROCKS !!

Uh, IMHO that's debatable. It's not like both of them are playoff warriors either, and both Yao & MacGrady are younger and more dominant + complementive (sp?).

I think those two have to be considered in any combo hierarchy... They're both HOF's and they won more titles than Stockton/Maloney...

As for Yao/Tmac, they have a lot to live up to with the MJ/Pip comparison... MJ and Pip really played in a 2.5 situation during their Championship years, with either HoGrant or Rodman...

    The Third Man theme...

    Bird McHale Parish
    Magic Kareem Worthy
    Dr.J Moses Toney
    MJ Pippen HoGrant
    Hakeem Clyde Cassell?
    MJ Pippen Rodman
    Stockton Malone Horney?
    Duncan Robinson Avery
    Shaq Kobe Fish?
    BigBen Chauncy Rip
    Duncan Manu Parker
    Yao Tmac ???...

I can't remember who was on the 2nd Duncan/Robinson team... Maybe Sean Eliot would make the cut...

Who would be the 3rd guy here with Yao and Tmac?... That is the big unknown...

Can the Pierce/KG/Allen combo win it all?

i thought the frontcourt tandem of pig miller and matt bullard was the best.

anyway, i would have to say that finding the best duo since mj and pip, one would have to look and who won any championships after them:

    1. kobe/shaq
    2. duncan/parker
    3. shaq/wade
    4. duncan/robinson
    - the pistons didn't really have a duo during thier championship.
