Either Steve or Clyde, I'm leaning towards Steve cuz I think he's got some more ups.

One of Olajuwon's favorites was Horry over Ewing in the finals when Horry sent Ewing toppling out of bounds: the look on Ewing's face was priceless!

The dunker I enjoyed seeing most was always OT. I loved it when he palmed it, slammed, and hung on the rim one-handed. WOO-HOO

The most amazing dunk was the 12 footer by Clyde.

Most satisfying facials I have ever seen were all those Dream had in the WC finals against the Spurs.

The most beautiful dunks would have to belong to Francis. How can it get prettier than a 36" vertical?

I have to agree with that. OT just leapt out of the building didn't he?

I enjoyed the Dream dominating Shaq a little more than the Robinson even before he became the bit aristotle in LA and really pissed me off.

My dad was at UH during Phi Slamma Jamma and I got to see a few games. If only Dream and Glide had been able to hook up sooner in the pros... drool

Stevie is an unbelievable dunker, it over shadows all the other things he does well and people think he's one dimensional. What amazing ups he has.

FYI, Francis' vertical at the combines was 42-43". I believe in a past interview he's said that his vertical was 42-43" as well.

That was Game 5. But I agree with this one. This is my favorite dunk of Hakeem's career.

couple of other great dunks in rocket history

Hakeem had a nice follow slam against Seattle in either Game 3 or 4 of the 93 playoffs. it was just rediculous.

Horry had a nice follow slam as well against GS in a 4th quarter on 12/29/94

But, how did no one mention this??? In Horry's rookie season, there was a home game against the Bulls in which Horry missed a dunk, hung on the rim, and threw it down again. The dunk did not count, but it was breathtaking.

i just can't believe no one has mentioned the dunks horry had in the finals against the knicks. I forgot which game it was, but the first dunk I believe was ALL OVER Anthony Mason and Horry injured his forearm on the play. He came back in the fourth quarter i think and laid ANOTHER nasty one down on em. plain sick. Speaking of Horry, I still say he should have been playoff MVP the in 94-95. He absolutely man-handled all the PF's he went up against in the playoffs that year. (Yes, I know he is a 3, but Rudy played him at the 4 during that post-season for some reason and Horry made him look like a genius).

    All time Rocket playoff dunks:

    1. Game 4 Finals vs Knicks. Hakeem has the offensive board bounce right to him 8 feet from the basket, with Ewing standing right in front of him. Face up to Ewing he dribbles right, then spins back baseline, continues spinning 360 degrees, and throws down a powerful one handed leaner with Ewing still standing in the same spot.

    2. Game 3 Finals vs Knicks. OT has the ball top of the key with Ewing on him. He swings the ball back and forth a couple times, then finally takes a dribble to the right(suprise!), right by Ewing, and as Ewing makes a failed attempt to recover, OT makes his patented one handed jam and the ball slams right into Ewing's face under the basket. Then, as the cherry on top, OT gets tangled with Ewing after the play and just throws his aside and starts trotting down the court.

    3. Game 5 WCF vs Jazz. Horry's on the wing and begins a weak side cut to the lane. Kenny(I think, maybe Max) sees him and dishes to him around the free throw line. He takes one step and goes up with the Mailman defending. Horry does a double pump with Malone all over him, and throws down a two handed monster kinda sideways in Malone's face.

I have to say that Steve Francis is the best dunker, because of his unreal hangtime and his explosiveness. My favorite dunk has to be Kenny smith going up over Shawn Bradley when he was still playing in Philly. It was overshadowed because that was the same night Dana Barros lit us up for 50 points.

Second favorite dunk was when Mario Elie dunked all on Karl Malone's back with a put back slam (man I hate Malone). This was one of a string of games during which the OJYD was on an extremely explosive stretch offensively . That was the last game of that stretch actually because he was undercut in Denver the very next game and broke his wrist.

i am 99% sure kenny smith did that dunk again as a rocket in a later dunk contest. he did it in the first round of the contest and i remember watching it and i know he was a rocket at the time. he didn't just do it as a king, he did it here too.
