Nobody remembers "The Pelican Brief?" Ah well....not my fav either. Either Training Day or Crimson Tide.
was the Virtuosity pic a joke? I had never heard of that movie until last summer, but then I saw it in a $3 movie rack, not the $5, at walmart. I bought it with confidence knowing Denzel picks good movies. I was so disappointed with that one- but you get what you pay for. His other movies are way better
I thought that "Man on Fire" was quite entertaining. It wasn't a box office hit but was critically praised... His most recent one which I thought was pretty good was "Book of Eli"... Glory was the first time I've seen him on film and I became a fan ever since...
Man on Fire easily tops the list for me. That movie blew me away. Much like that one dude with the bomb up his ass.
To each his own. I don't think he is on par with Washington but I do like Pepper as an actor. He's had some good roles.

My favorite Denzel performance was in Malcolm X. I'm having a much harder time trying to pick my favorite Denzel movie because he's just made too many really good movies.
Seriously, check out The Mighty Quinn. Great story, great music, great cinematography. Robert Townsend's not so great, but Denzel more than compensates for that.
Only one person has picked Inside Man?? ONE? Great movie, great performance. Glory Man on Fire Training Day Devil in a Blue Dress He Got Game American Gangster X Crimson Tide Wow... I could go on. In my humble opinion though, John Q, Deja Vu, Out of Time, Virtuosity, Fallen, The Bone Collector, and The Book of Eli were all terrible movies. Don't understand the "Fallen" love... but to each their own.
Glory. It is the best Civil War movie ever made. (And yes, I'm including Gone With the Wind as a Civil War movie.)
I was watching Glory Tuesday night and I was thinking it was the first movie that made realize how brutal the Civil War was. saw at the theater when I was 15. He has another army movie earlier, A Soilder's Story that's also pretty good.
