Best critically acclaimed films containing no profanity

    You wouldn't think they belong, on the surface. But Back to the Future was nominated for a number of awards including an Oscar for Best Orginal Screenplay. It also won a Hugo award (beating out Cocoon) and was Golden Globe nominated. Critics generally loved it.

    Beetlejuice also won a Hugo and is in the AFI top 100 for comedies. It was also loved by critics. Most Tim Burton films are well-done, even if strange.

    Beetlejuice was a launching pad. Baldwin, Davis, Ryder, goth culture and post-SCTV Catherine O'Hara were all about to pop. Ed Rooney had one last hurrah after Amadeus and Ferris, and Michael Keaton got to stop being '80s Vince Vaughan.
