BW-3 fans Beware! Teh price of wings went up in Ohio about a month ago (now Tuesday is $.35 instead of $.30). So don't know how long it will take but I'm sure the wing price increase will hit you too! Anymore it seems the only way to get a good deal is wait until happy hour on Friday. A couple places just give food away (one is a wing plavce the other orders in pizza) and most others do good deals as well.
Phat Ky on the corner of Wilcrest and 59 South. $2.95 for a full plate of General Tso's Chicken, includes soup and rice. Spare me the chicken/dog/cat/whatever jokes.
Good call on the tortas! No one ever seems to order a torta in a taqueria, and I can only assume it's due to unfamiliarity. My place for Vietnamese sandwiches is Givral's, which is in the Asian complex between Milam and Travis that is the farther south of the two. (Although I will buy them from the plainly inferior place in the mall in Chinatown to smuggle into Astros games.) Givral's offers those who dine in free iced tea! Good deal! Cali, though, is definitely my choice for chicken soup in the area.
Unfortunately, getting into the NBA is all about who you know, and unfortunately, he doesn't know anybody. However, we met the Channel 13 Sports Director who told him to give him a call so they might do a piece on him. Who knows, maybe that'll lead to something.

mmmmmmmmm.....dam last time I went there I noticed they aren't giving out the "unwrap my monster" shirt. Luckily I got one, but it's kinda messed up so now that I have enough stamps to get another it's gone! I guess I'll have to drive back to College Station! Oh well it's worth it. Pugs
Ummmmm, just to let y'all know..... The Men's Club is doing a special these days. Monday-Friday. $9 for lunch= includes shrimp, prime rib, just about anything you would want to eat, PLUS $1 drinks until 7. Or....... Just show up after 2 p.m. Then it is FREE cover and FREE food (albeit stuff like fried cheese, fried mushrooms, and chicken strips) and $1 drinks until 7:00. Plus, I'm kinda dating one of the waitresses up there, so she always hooks me up with the drinks. hmmm? hmmmm? What do y'all think?
