I just bought a TV for my bedroom and they said they would match Amazon's price if I saw it on there.
Went to Best Buy yesterday to buy a network card for a desktop. They don't sell them in the store. That's unacceptable.
I generally agree with this. Unsure about the "going bankrupt" part, but BB is definitely struggling. The last few times I went to a BB here in Austin, the store was almost like a ghost town. Reminded me of Sears (another company in trouble). I'll take Fry's (B&M), Amazon (online) and Newegg (online computer parts) over Best Buy any day.
Desperate times call for desperate measures...I'm not sure about the bankrupt, but if they're matching online, just to get a sale and no margin, it will be coming soon... I prefer Fry's as they always have what I need at a decent price...
Well bankruptcy isn't necessarily imminent, but they were certainly headed there sooner than later if they continued to try and sell a bunch of high priced **** and not even attempt to match online prices. I just bought an iPad 2 for my wife about 10 days ago from BB for $399. Now I see both Frys and Microcenter have them in their stores for $359... So if I go to BB and show them the price on my phone, they should match?
