Nope. Fry's isn't national yet. Anyone know where the 'border' is where they stop? There aren't any (that I know of) on the east cost. And their online presence is known mostly by internet savvy people and internet shoppers, not the average consumer (ie my mother). I'd like to see this place expand just so I have more options.
This new company i'm going to work for Buys returned items from Bestbuy and relists them on ebay. From i've been told there is a secret auction site that only bestbuy employees and a few other people have access to, in which they get to bid on all kinds of **** (usually stuff thats still in good condition, or received wrong) I wants me some of that. If anyone wants a hookup I'll let you know what I see. I don't start working there for another 2 weeks.
Fiance used to work at BB so I can confirm this is indeed true. In fact, I'm pretty sure she used to tell me that they weren't allowed to even honor the .com price. And don't get me started on the service plans employees were FORCED to push. Basically, you could be the hardest working, most loyal employee in the world, but if you didn't sell PSPs you wouldn't get hours. But Best Buy ain't all that bad. They have great prices; and you just gotta be a smart shopper...that goes for anywhere you shop. I actually prefere BB to the other places...though will go to Fry's for games/dvds/music.
circuit city is ****.....they dont have stuff the first day it comes out, but they put an Ad in the paper
They might be talking about Liquidation.com. Not really a secret, but not well known. You buy pallets of stuff from this place, no single items.
I've never liked Best Buy. Their product extended warranties are crap. And their return and 'restocking fee' policy sucks. Circuit City is so much better, and they take returns no questions asked, and with no fee.
I agree. I do my research before going there so I don't have to deal with the sales staff...just the cashier trying to get me to subscribe to Entertainment Weekly.
