I am a burger nut. I carry around an extra 25-30lbs as proof. Let's discuss where to find the cheesiest, greasiest, most delicious artery clogging burgers in H-town. Here are a few of my favorites.

My favorite is the Hubcap Grill :) which is downtown near the intersection of Prairie and Fannin. Their grill creates the perfect sear with patties coming out of the kitchen charred and almost crispy on the edges, but buttery and moist in the middle. They have a great variety of different specialty burgers. The muffaletta burger is extremely good topped with an excellent olive salad. This is a must try spot.

    Others of note:
Miller's Cafe-Great burgers at both the medical center and Clear Lake location.
Mosquito Cafe-Nice bleu cheese and carmelized onion burger at this bistro on the strand.
Goode Co. Hamburgers-Always makes me happy
    Barnaby's Cafe-Thick and juicy.
Market Square Bar & Grill-Nice variety.
The Spot-The best burger on the seawall.
The Black Labrador Pub-Nice authentic British Pub, except the food is good.

Where are your favorite spots? I am always dying to try new ones.

Diners Drive Ins and Dives on FOOD NETWORK just left town. He went to a variety of restaurants but one he filmed for his BURGERS episode was at Lankford Grocery. They are probably pretty good. Bubba's is pretty good, its off the Westpark Tollway near 610.

    Fudruckers.

I pile on a ton of jalapeƱos and diced onions.

I live near a Steak and Shakes? Horrible burgers...even Burger King has better burgers.

Houston's has a damn good burger. As does Willie's and Beck's Prime.

That's because BK gives you more than .05 ounces of meat.

Lankford Grocery is probably the best I've had.
Pappas and Beck's are both excellent.

Tookies is gone? They don't have plans to rebuild? (I'm assuming it didn't make it through Ike.)

+1 for Pappas Burger. Gotta try Christian's and Lankford one of these days.
