Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom is a great read about life and death. Life of Pi by Yann Martel was enjoyable but its not like...pulitzer prize winner. Theyre making a movie for that in 2007 so I figured it'd be good to throw out there for you guys. Can't complain about 7 Habits of Highly Effective people as well.

As for stuff read way back in the highschool days that are just awesome reads and of course stated earlier: Fahrenheit 451 and Catcher in the Rye.

I hear Fountain Head by An Ryand is great too but uh...can't sit down to read such a long book :(

Thanks for reminding me about Heinlein. The Moon is a Harsh Mistress has to be on my top 10 list.

I would have to say that the Da Vinci Code is one of the best novels of all time.

Overall: The Dark Tower: Book 1 --- If I had to name just one book as my favorite, this is probably the one I would choose. It melds my two favorite genres (fantasy and western).

Sci-Fi: Ender's Game. 'Dune' is a close second.

Mystery: The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins.

    Light "popcorn" reading: Harry Potter

Classic: Umm... too many. The Picture of Dorion Gray I guess.

Adventure: Lure of the Labrador Wild by Dillon (Dylan??) Thomas.

My favorite short story of all time is "Big Two-Hearted River" by Hemingway.

    Aztec - Gary Jennings.

I'm not one who can typically define an all-time favorite, no matter the catergory, but I have no doubt about 'Aztec'.

Since others are mentioning books that came close to their favorite, I will add:

    Julian - Vidal
    Creation - Vidal
    Inferno - Niven, Pournelle
    Texas - Michner
    Space - Michner
    Lonesome Dome - McMurtry
    I Claudius - Graves
    Titan - Varley

And like many others here, 'Enders Game'

So that makes it an even 10
